Key points

1. Scope and effect

This agreement governs your registration, login and use of the Wenmai website and related services. "Wenmai", "the platform" or "we" refers to the service operator Wenmai; "user" or "you" refers to the individual or organization that registers, logs in or uses the service.

By checking the consent box at registration and submitting it, you confirm that you have read, understood and accepted this agreement and the Privacy Policy. If you do not accept any part of it, please do not register or continue using the service. Feature-specific rules shown in the product, together with this agreement, form the service terms; where they conflict, the more specific and legally valid rule for that feature prevails.

2. Account registration and security

Wenmai uses email verification codes for registration and email-plus-password login. You must use an email address you own and that can receive mail. Do not impersonate others, register accounts in bulk, buy or rent accounts, or use multiple accounts to bypass trial, billing or access limits.

Keep your password, email and cloud-backup recovery key safe. If you notice unusual account activity, change your password promptly. Losses caused by platform security defects are the platform's responsibility under applicable law; risks from your own disclosure of credentials, staying logged in on shared devices or handing credentials to others are yours.

You can delete your account in Settings. Deletion is irreversible: it ends your sessions and deletes account-linked data. Export the works you want to keep first, and settle any open subscription questions before deleting.

3. What the service provides

Wenmai provides AI-assisted writing workflows for novels and short drama — drafting, continuity checking, character-voice review and final review — plus project management, version history, model-usage hints, model connections and optional cloud backup. The features, models, speed and limits actually shown in the product are what apply.

Wenmai is a writing-assistant tool. It is not a publishing, submission, film-distribution or income guarantee. We do not promise generated content will pass any third-party platform's review, and we do not replace legal, medical or financial advice.

4. AI-generated content rules

Model output is probabilistic: the same input can produce different results, and output may contain factual errors, contradictions, repetitive phrasing, omissions, bias or inappropriate content. You are responsible for reviewing, editing and making the final call on anything you use or publish.

Wenmai marks AI involvement in the model-task areas and run-status displays. When you copy, export or publish generated content, disclose AI generation or AI assistance as required by the rules applicable in your jurisdiction and by the platform you publish on, and do not strip, forge or hide legally required AI labels. If you find illegal or infringing content, report it to wenpath@foxmail.com.

Do not use the service to create or spread disinformation, impersonate others, harm reputation or privacy, or use output for fraud, illegal marketing, academic dishonesty or other unlawful purposes.

5. Your content and intellectual property

Rights you hold in content you input or upload are not transferred by using Wenmai. You must have the legal right to use the works, settings, characters, materials and personal data you bring, and must not infringe third-party copyright, trademark, likeness, reputation, privacy, trade-secret or other rights.

To the extent law allows and no third-party right conflicts, Wenmai claims no ownership of your generated output. Whether AI-generated content qualifies for copyright protection depends on your actual creative contribution, current law and the specific facts; the platform makes no promise about it.

To run the tasks you initiate, you grant Wenmai a limited, non-exclusive license — only as wide and as long as needed — to transmit, temporarily process, display, encrypt for backup or forward your content to the model provider you selected. This license never covers using your works for model training, public case studies, advertising or marketing. After a task ends, you delete the data, or you delete your account, the platform handles related information under its published data rules.

The Wenmai codebase, interface, workflow structure, branding and documentation belong to Wenmai or their rights holders. Without permission, do not copy, resell, reverse-engineer, bypass technical protections or repackage the service as your own product.

6. Acceptable use

Do not use Wenmai to create, copy, publish or spread content prohibited by applicable law, harm minors, or engage in harassment, discrimination, sexual content, gambling, terrorism, fraud or other illegal activity.

Do not attack, scan or interfere with the site or servers; steal accounts, recovery keys or API keys; bypass authentication, billing, concurrency, content-safety or access limits; or deliberately spam model calls or hoard shared resources.

Where there is reasonable evidence of illegal activity, infringement or serious breach, the platform may warn you, restrict features, pause tasks, freeze or terminate the account, keep necessary records and report to authorities as required by law. Where the law requires prior notice or an appeal opportunity, the platform will follow it.

7. Third-party models and your own API

With your own API key, content is sent to the model-provider endpoint you configured. Third-party services have their own terms, content policies, pricing and data rules, which you must also follow.

Your API key is stored in your current browser and never enters work backups or runtime logs. You are responsible for making sure the endpoint is legitimate, your balance is sufficient and the model suits the task, and for the fees your model provider charges you directly. If a third-party service has an outage, rate-limits you, changes prices, changes its API or changes content policy, Wenmai will help identify the cause where it can, but cannot control third-party services.

8. Fees and access

Wenmai's paid offering is access to the multi-role writing workflow with your own API keys. For international users it is a $6 / 30-day plan processed by Creem. The plan unlocks the Continuity, Character Voice and Final Review roles; the Draft role (DeepSeek) is free and unlimited. Wenmai never meters, fronts or collects model fees — your provider (for example OpenRouter or DeepSeek) bills you directly per token at its published prices.

Subscriptions are handled by Creem under its own terms; you can cancel there at any time, and cancellation ends access when the paid period expires. Prices and terms shown on the logged-in account page are the ones that apply. There is no auto-renewal trap: nothing is charged without your explicit action on Creem's checkout.

9. Refunds and problem orders

Access periods are digitally delivered services. After access has been granted and used, refunds, cash-out or transfer are not supported except where the law requires otherwise or the platform is in breach.

If you were charged twice, payment succeeded but access was not granted, or a platform fault prevents you from using what you paid for, contact wenpath@foxmail.com with your registered email, order number and payment receipt. Verified cases are handled under applicable law; payments made through Creem also follow Creem's transaction rules.

Consumption by minors without guardian consent that is clearly beyond their age can be reviewed by submitting proof of guardianship, payment and the order. This agreement does not waive consumer rights the law gives you.

10. Local storage and encrypted cloud backup

Works are stored in your current browser by default. Without cloud backup, uninstalling the browser, clearing cache or site data, using private mode, switching devices or device failure can lose your manuscripts. Export local backups regularly.

You can enable encrypted cloud backup in Settings. Works are encrypted inside the browser first; the server stores ciphertext plus the backup time, size, device and revision. Recovery keys and API keys are never uploaded. If you lose the recovery key, the backup cannot be decrypted by anyone, including us.

Turning backup off requires a second confirmation and deletes the encrypted copy on the server. After that, works exist only locally, and clearing browser data or switching devices can cause irreversible loss.

11. Changes, interruptions and termination

The platform may change or suspend features for maintenance, security, provider changes, legal requirements or force majeure. For foreseeable material changes, the platform will announce them on the site and, where significant, by email, and offer reasonable handling for paid access as the law requires.

You can stop using the service and delete your account at any time. If the platform stops operating or permanently ends the paid service, it will notify users in advance as required by law and handle unfulfilled paid access under the rules then in effect.

12. Limits of liability

The platform takes security and stability measures appropriate to an independent project, but no internet service can promise zero downtime, zero data loss or zero vulnerabilities. This agreement does not exempt liability for intent, gross negligence or anything the law does not allow to be exempted.

Losses caused by your unlawful use, failure to back up as prompted, voluntarily disclosed credentials, or device and network problems under your control are borne by the responsible party. Disputes over model-generated content are assessed considering your input, your manual edits, how you published it and third-party rules.

13. Minors

Users under 18 should read and accept this agreement with a guardian's guidance. Children under 14 (or the minimum digital-consent age in your jurisdiction) should use the service only with a guardian's consent, and must not pay on their own. Guardians should guide minors' use of generative AI and prevent exposure to age-inappropriate content or overuse.

14. Updates to this agreement

The platform may revise this agreement as features or the law change, and will mark the update date on this page. Material changes to fees, refunds, content licensing, data handling or liability get prominent notice on the site or by email, with a reasonable chance to review and decide.

Routine adjustments that do not reduce your rights take effect when published. If you disagree with a material change, you can stop using the service, export your works and delete your account; completed transactions stay governed by the rules in effect when they happened and by law.

15. Governing law and disputes

This agreement is governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China. If a dispute arises, contact us first by email; if that fails, either party may bring it to a competent court or pursue other remedies the law allows in your jurisdiction.

If any clause is held invalid or unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Headings and summaries are for convenience; the clause text governs.
